Dakar: Race Against the Desert is a documentary about the legendary Dakar Rally, one of the toughest motorsport competitions in the world. It follows drivers and riders as they race across extreme desert terrain, dealing with exhaustion, navigation, mechanical failures and the constant unpredictability of the environment.
More than just the competition, the film focuses on human endurance, risk and the relationship between the competitors and the desert, showing what it takes physically and mentally just to reach the finish line.
My role in this project:
Production assistant.
Key Learnings:
I learned how documentaries are put together – from development, production all the way to distribution.
In my role as production assistant I kept records and kept track of all necessary documentation, as well as keeping track of detailed post-production plans and schedules.
